Erwin Rommel: decorated German officer, also known as Desert Fox. Well respected war hero known for being humane to POWs, disregarding orders from Hitler and had never been accused of a war crime. After he was linked to the conspiracy to assassinate Hitler, he was forced to commit suicide via cyanide in exchange for the safety of his family.
